I have been using this camera for quite a while now and it has been great. I carry it on all my motorbike trips.
Now I assume you all must have read about its specification and features on its official site so I won’t repeat that.
I will show you the pro’s and con’s of this camera. Let me tell you before there are more pros and very less cons of this digital camera.
Pro’s
The camera looks like an SLR but is not that heavy in weight. Carrying it is very easy.
Though its not an SLR still you can fix an additional lens to it.
It has a pop up flash so the cover of the flash will least catch any dust.
12X optical zoom is quite decent for a 6 MP camera.
The camera has a direct button to switch on the video mode.
It has a very good video quality compared to other 6 MP cameras.
Easy to take moving shots and the come quite well.
From 1000 shots I have taken, only 3 turned up shaken.
Con’s
Ones you accidentally drop it the camera is finish.
The lens cap is a delicate one. I already broke mine.
The camera strap is not long enough and quite thin one too.
Night shots are little difficult to take.
Overall the Canon IS S3 is a good camera for outdoor shooting. Have a look at my best shots from this camera.

In foggy weather.
There are still many. Have a look at my first album. It has collection of all my photos taken on canon IS S3.
Also my Album2 has a few photos but few are taken from Olympus SW 720.
Great camera .. have been using it for more than 2 years now. Havent had any problems. You also have some great snaps taken ..
